FAQ

Brew Bus is different in a couple of different ways.

  1. Unlike most other companies, WE come to you. Other companies require you to travel to their regions, Collingwood, Muskoka, Toronto etc. We come to your location and take you on a tour to an area where you have not been to before, or a place where it would be unsafe to drive and visit breweries and drive home.
  2. Most other companies you only visit 3 breweries. We visit 4. With the very very rare exception, we usually visit 4 breweries in a day
  3. We FEED you. Not just snackies on the bus, but we also order shareables and appateizers at one of our locations for everyone to enjoy.
  4. (Here’s where we have full transparency) Most other’s will get you a free flight at each of your (three) locations. We give everyone two drink tokens to choose where they want to use them. Essentially meaning, we buy two, you buy two. Some locations they are good for a flight, some they are good for a flight. Our host will tell you when we arrive. Even still, with purchasing your own two drinks, we generally come out cheaper on our per person cost.
  5. We have a Host. By riding on our bus (sometimes different if it’s a sprinter van), not only do you have a fun driver, but there is a host that goes along to entertain you, do beer trivia, DJ the music (unless you want to), and keep track of you and time. Other companies generally just have a driver that says “come back in 45 minutes”. Whether its the bus or the van, we give you more than just a large vehicle Uber driver, we give you entertainment.

We do have a winery tour list. Although not as extensive as our breweries, we can set up a winery tour for you. Just send us a message.

We also have a number of a cideries we work with.

There are a number of them and we are still adding breweries that we are working with everyday. Here is a general list.
Information – BrewBus Canada

Yes, any at all. Just contact us. The dates and places in the calendar are mere suggestions. Monday – Thursday breweries tours will be given a 10% discount for the rental of the whole bus. These tours would start early afternoon and go into early-mid evening.

Please contact us with what date you would like and we will work with you.

The “normal” pick-ups are done in late morning and the tour lasts about 6-7 hours. Breweries run hours much different than normal bars and are typically closed by 10 at the latest. We are also to do other pick-up times, just contact us and we will work with you. (Side note, some breweries will be extending their hours with the re-opening of Ontario. Stay tuned.)

Of course! Just let us know what you are thinking. We will also try to incorporate a brewery visit for you if we can. We will also do trips from Barrie/Newmarket area to downtown Toronto for sports games and concerts. Costs will vary.

17 passengers max.
If needed, we will work on sourcing another bus if you have more than 17, don’t worry. Additional charges may apply.

We will arrange pick-ups in York, Peel, Simcoe, Halton, Durham, Kawartha, Toronto, Muskoka and more. Some locations further than our normal range (generally 1 hour and/or 100km from Newmarket) may require a bit of an additional charge.

Our pickup areas will generally be at local transit areas to ensure people can get a safe ride home. TTC, GO Transit, Viva, and whatever else is in your local area. If your group is renting the entire bus, we will meet at an agreed upon location.

We accept E-transfer (BrewBusCanada@gmail.com).
We also accept Square & PayPal with major credit cards. This method will also be charged a 3.5% fee to cover the charge. Cash is also accepted if you are in a nearby area.
We do need to collect taxes so you can enjoy your “free” healthcare.

Gratuaties are not included in pricing.

This is totally brewery dependent. Some breweries serve snacks, some serve nothing, some have food trucks, some have a full kitchen. We will make sure that your group has food/appetizers for everyone to eat. On the rare occasion (depending on where we go and the breweries) we may have to order food in. But again, we will work with everyone. Snacks are also available on the bus.
VIP packages are also available for an upcharge.

Yes, they are, please inquire and we will get you a figure.

Hell yaaaa! Tips are not included in the price but are of course greatly appreciated (but not required). You may do this in advance or day of. We can accept cash or do it via credit card.

Absolutely! A brewery tour makes a great gift. Contact us to buy a brewery tour for someone else and we will work with them to get them on a tour that works best for them.

Fun, games, and music! We also will cater the trivia game to your trip. Also, karaoke has been known to break out from time to time.

Yes! And we would love for you to buy some. Cash, e-transfer and credit cards are available for this. Also available to order online.

YES! We encourage you to buy beers to bring back home to enjoy. Same with merch. Some breweries are also offering our riders a discount on merch. We will let you know the deal as we arrive at the breweries.

Your tokens will be redeemable for a pint and some flights (again, brewery dependent on the flight and you will know before you go in). Most breweries are giving samples but not all. I have built a matrix of who does and who doesn’t and will inform everyone when we get to each brewery.

Here’s a little peak behind the curtain.
The reasoning behind the two tokens was because after doing research and talking to breweries they were finding other tours (in other locations), brew tours were coming in, and everyone was just sampling and leaving without buying beer. So, it was kind of just a waste of their time, product and ultimately money. So that’s why we decided to go with two tokens. That way we will cover two beers with the hope that people coming on this already reasonably priced experience will be okay buying 2 beers on their 6-hour long excursion.
It was a way to try and take care of the breweries and make sure people don’t drink us under the table at the same time. We will have some beer trivia and general trivia to do in between a couple of the breweries where people can win more tokens.

ALSO, everyone gets a “Thank you” package at the end of the trip with another beer from a location we did not visit for you to take home.

Most breweries are requesting a minimum of 1 weeks’ notice so they can staff appropriately. Still, if you are under a week, please contact us and we will see what we can build for a fun day out.

You can cancel up to 10 days  prior to receive a full refund (minus credit card fees). Anything after that is non-refundable but we will work with you to reschedule a brewery tour for you. If you fully cancel a second tour, no refund, or rescheduling will occur. This DOES NOT apply to a weather cancellation deemed cancelled by Brew Bus Canada Inc.

What happens if the weather is bad?
If it is decided by Brew Bus Canada Inc. that the weather is unsafe for travel and to enjoy the day, we will work with you to reschedule your trip promptly. Weather is not our fault nor is it yours.

What happens if covid restrictions start to become stricter? (Typed Feb 2, 2022)
We all hope that we continue to move in the current direction. If for some reason things go backwards, we will work with you, and the breweries to make a trip happen. Worst case if it is out of all of our control we can refund or reserve a date once things open back up.

We will be honouring the current provincial guidelines. As of March 2022 it seem as though vaccine passports will end. Therefore we will no longer be checking them.

Vomit bags are available on the bus. However, if there is a major clean necessary, a $250 fee will apply.

Here’s the ugly truth. We will attempt to find you, and/or call you to get you back to the bus. You will have a 15-minute grace period from the agreed upon time. If you do not make it back in time, it is not fair to everyone else. You will be on your own to get to the next brewery, location, or end of trip. You are responsible for it yourself and we do not give any refunds or reimbursements. Please be respectful of everyone’s time.

The province of Ontario does not allow a mobile vehicle to obtain a liquor license.
